Class I — Foundation & Exploratory Learning

A joyful learning start: play-based activities, language basics, number sense, social skills and early digital exposure (age 5–6).

Overview

Class I curriculum focuses on building confidence, phonics & reading readiness, basic numeracy, motor skills and collaborative play. Emphasis on experiential learning, storytelling, songs, hands-on activities and gentle introduction to smart/tech-based lessons.

Section Size: 20–30 students

Subjects & Weekly Topics

  • English: Phonics, vocabulary, listening & speaking
  • Hindi: Swar-Vyanjan recognition, simple words
  • Mathematics: Number sense 1–100, shapes, patterns
  • EVS: My family, my school, plants, animals
  • Art & Craft: Fine motor skills, colouring, paper craft
  • Physical Education: Games, coordination, yoga basics
  • Music & Rhymes: Singing, rhythm & expression
  • Digital Literacy: Intro to smart board activities

Learning Outcomes (by year-end)

  • Recognise letters & basic words in English & Hindi; read short words aloud.
  • Understand numbers, count, compare and perform simple additions.
  • Show curiosity about environment and participate in group activities.
  • Follow classroom routines, develop fine motor skills & basic self-care habits.
